Dwarikesh Chairman to receive prestigious 'Bhamashah Award'Jaipur: The Government of Rajasthan has announced its decision to confer the state's prestigious 'Bhamashah Award' on Shri Gautam Radheshyam Morarka, Chairman and Managing Director of the Dwarikesh Group, for his extra-ordinary contribution towards the strengthening of education system in the state. Mr. Morarka is to receive the honour on 28th June in Jaipur. The award has been instituted after the historical personality 'Bhamashah' who selflessly contributed all his wealth to Maharana Pratap to help him fight the mighty Mughals. On receiving the news, Mr. Morarka expressed happiness at his efforts being recognized by the state government.
Mr. Gautam Morarka, who tops the list of 32 awardees by contributing the most for the development of the state, has recently built a large government college building at Jhunjhunu in the memory of his father and former Member of Parliament, late Mr. Radheshyam Ramkumar Morarka. The building was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Mrs. Vasundhara Raje, on March 26, 2006.
RR Morarka Charitable Trust and Sewa Jyoti, charity organizations run under Mr. Morarka's leadership have carried out large scale developmental and welfare activities in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan and Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh, including construction of charity hospitals.
