Dwarikesh to expand co-generation capacityMumbai: Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd has informed the Bombay Stock Exchange that the company is intending to expand its co-generation capacity from 26 MW to 50 MW by setting up additional co-generation capacity of 24 MW at its Dwarikesh Puram unit. The power from additional co-generation (8 MW) would be supplied to UPPCL (State Grid) and would cost around Rs 85 crore.
"The power plant is being funded 10 per cent through internal accruals, 30 per cent from Sugar Development Fund and balance by a debt from banks. The debt to equity ratio post the power plant expansion will be 1:15," a company official said. The additional cogeneration capacity would be operational by sugar season 2007-08.
The company commenced crushing at its greenfield project of 7,500 tonnes crushing per day (TCD) at Bahadarpur in Bijnor district, Uttar Pradesh.
