Dwarikesh Sugar Q2 sales up 1.75%

Mumbai: Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd, an integrated sugar manufacturer, has announced a 1.75 per cent growth in sales at Rs 43.03 crore for the second quarter ended March 2005.

During the review period, profit has touched Rs 11.61 crore. The rise in sales was driven by a better realisation in sugar sales. The company crushed 80.14 lakh quintals during 2004-05 against 75.18 lakh quintals during 2003-04.

The recovery has moved up to 10.47 per cent estimated (second highest in Uttar Pradesh) during the sugar season 04-05 (10.39 per cent).
